Current research project:
I am working on a joint project with Ian, Ashley, and Robert, exploring the complexation constants of certain lanthanides and ligands.  Determining these constants in mixed solvents is a new problem, and one we are working on addressing.  I am also doing some work with rhenium, supporting a technetium sensor developed at PNNL for applications in environmental Tc detection.

I research purification and analysis methods for radiocesium from nuclear waste and accidents in the environment using ion exchange chromatography and thermal ionization mass spectrometry.

Current research project:
Plutonium behavior during neutralization of acidic and high ionic strength RECUPLEX waste at the Z-9 Trench, Hanford Reservation

Collaboration with other second year students Robert, Creighton, and Ashley to determine stability constants of Europium with NTA under the effects of various mixed aqueous phases.
